Analytics and pricing
Analytics and pricing puts competitor prices next to your own prices, margin and sales, so you don't have to click through rival shops or stitch it together by hand in a spreadsheet. Instead you open one page and see straight away where you stand against the market and which prices to review first.
Uwaga
The module is in beta. Every number, chart and product you see today is sample data — it shows how the page will look on your own figures. To make the numbers yours, we connect your catalogue and competitor list (see "What we set up for you").
What it's for
- Who it's for: people responsible for prices, margin and the shop's position against competitors.
- Use it when: you want your price next to the market median in one place, want to track sales week by week, and want a list of products worth a markdown or a raise.
- If you're after a list of new companies and contacts to reach, use the Company & lead database module instead.
Before you start
- Permissions: a role that can use services (member and up).
- Module enabled: "Analytics and pricing" must be active for your company. If it's not in the menu, contact your WebImpact manager.
- Connected data: to see your own numbers you need your product catalogue and a list of competitors to watch — we set this up together with you. To just look around the demo view, you don't have to provide anything.
How to use it
- Open Analytics and pricing from your company menu.
- Start with the four tiles at the top — they sum up the situation: how many products you monitor, your rank among competitors, your average margin and how many price changes are recommended.
- Move down to the sales chart to see recent weeks set against market prices — it's easier to tell when a price cut genuinely lifted sales and when it only ate into your margin.
- Read the competitors table: for each product your price sits next to the market median, and a colour-coded label says whether you're the cheapest or how much more expensive you are.
- Look at the ask-about-data card — it shows an example question asked in plain words (e.g. the highest-margin products in a given month). Questions about your own data switch on once it is connected.
Wskazówka
First time here? Launch the Tour (the "?" button in the panel) — it walks the page step by step. This page covers what the Tour doesn't: what each section means, limits and troubleshooting.
What you see on the page
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Summary tiles | Number of monitored products, your rank among competitors, average margin, count of recommended price changes |
| Sales chart | Recent weeks of sales set against market prices — one bar per week |
| Competitors table | For each product, your price next to the market median and a position label (cheapest / how much more expensive) |
| Ask about data | A preview of a question asked in plain words and the query against company data the module builds from it |
What we set up for you
Analytics and pricing isn't a module where you generate something — you review ready-made summaries. We prepare the data underneath together with you:
- The product catalogue to be monitored.
- The list of competitors to watch and compare your prices against.
Get in touch with your WebImpact manager and we'll tailor the module to your business. Once the data is connected, the sample numbers are replaced by yours.
Limits and notes
- Beta: until the data is connected, everything on the page is sample data and only shows the layout.
- Price recommendations are a suggestion: no price in your shop ever changes on its own — the decision is always yours.
- Questions about data run on your figures only once they're connected; before that it's just a preview.
Common problems
| Symptom | Cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| I see unfamiliar products and random numbers | Your company data isn't connected yet (demo view) | Contact your WebImpact manager to connect your catalogue and competitors |
| Module not in the menu | Service not active for the company | Ask WebImpact to enable "Analytics and pricing" |
| Asking about data doesn't return my numbers | Data isn't connected yet — it's still a preview | Wait for the data to be connected; until then it's an example of how it works |
| A recommended price surprises me | It's only a suggestion against the market, not an order | Treat it as a prompt to review — you change the price yourself if you agree |
