Team and roles
Your team is the list of people who can access your company panel. In company settings you invite new people, give them roles and can change or remove them at any time. The role decides what each person is allowed to do.
Who can manage the team
Adding people, changing roles and removing members is a job for a manager, administrator or owner. People with lower roles can see the team but not change it.
Info
Each company has its own separate team. If you belong to several companies, you set the list of people in each one independently. More: Organizations and workspaces.
Roles from lowest to highest
Roles form a ladder — each higher one includes everything the lower one can do, and adds more on top.
| Role | In short |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Sees the panel and results, but does not create or change |
| Member | Uses modules and generates materials |
| Manager | Everything a member can + manages the team and approves |
| Administrator | Broad access to company settings and the team |
| Owner | Full access; also manages other owners |
The exact meaning of each role — what a person sees and can do in each area — is described on the Roles and permissions page.
How to invite someone
- Go to company settings and open the team section.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to add.
- Choose a role — you can change it later.
- Send the invitation. The person joins your company's team.
Wskazówka
Give the lowest role that is enough for the task. You can always raise it later, and less access means more order and better security.
Changing a role and removing people
- Change a role: pick a new role next to a team member. The change takes effect right away.
- Remove: remove a member when they stop working with you. They lose access to the company panel.
Rules for owners
- The owner role can be granted only by another owner. A manager or administrator cannot promote someone to owner.
- The last owner cannot be removed or downgraded — a company must always have at least one. To remove the current owner, first appoint another one.
Uwaga
If a company is left with a single owner, make sure there is a backup person with that role. That way you won't lose the ability to manage the team when the main owner is unavailable.
