Product photos
Upload one ordinary photo of your product and the module returns a full set of clean packshots on a white background — one per shot you pick. The photos land in your Asset Library, ready for your shop, a product page or a newsletter.
What it's for
- Who it's for: people preparing product cards, offers and shop materials.
- Use it when: you have a product photo (even from a phone, on any background) and need a consistent set of white packshots from several angles.
- If you want the product in a ready-made setting (kitchen, desk, outdoors), use Lifestyle photos instead. To only remove a background or fix a single frame, use the Photo editor.
Info
Product fidelity is protected: the module never changes the product's shape, colours or markings. Any lettering and logos are copied 1:1 or left blank — never invented.
Before you start
- Permissions: a role that can use services (member and up).
- Module enabled: "Product photos" must be active for your company. If it's not in the menu, contact your WebImpact manager.
- File: one product photo, JPG or PNG, up to 8 MB. The clearer the product, the better the result.
How to generate packshots
The wizard walks you through three steps — Photo, Format, Generate. One click takes you back to an earlier step; nothing is lost.
- Photo — upload shots of the product (drag in or click). Add several sides (front, back, sides) so the back/side shots are faithful rather than invented. You can tag each photo with the product side, and you type the product name here too.
- Format — choose the frame shape: square (feed, catalogue), portrait, landscape or full screen.
- Generate — tick no shadow if you want a clean packshot on pure white, then run it. The set usually takes about 1–2 minutes — keep the window open.
Shots (front, back, side, top) are configured on our side for your company — each shot becomes a separate output photo. Finished photos appear in the studio and are saved to your Asset Library automatically.
Wskazówka
First time here? Launch the Tour (the "?" button in the panel) — it walks the screen step by step. This page covers what the Tour doesn't: every field, limits and troubleshooting.
Fields and options
| Field | What it does | Format / limit | Default | Required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Product photo | The source the packshots are built from | JPG/PNG, up to 8 MB | — | yes |
| Shots | Which sides to generate (one photo per shot) | pick from company list | — | yes (min. 1) |
| Note | A short hint to refine the framing | text | empty | no |
Limits and notes
- File size: up to 8 MB per input photo.
- Shots per run: capped (10 by default). For more variants, run the module again.
- Monthly limit: each generated photo counts against your company's monthly limit. Usage is shown on the limit bar in the module header.
- Background: the output is always a clean white background. Settings are handled by Lifestyle photos.
Common problems
| Symptom | Cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Monthly limit exceeded" | Company limit used up | Wait for the new month or ask your manager to raise the limit |
| "File is too large" | Photo over 8 MB | Shrink the file and upload again |
| Module not in the menu | Service not active for the company | Ask WebImpact to enable "Product photos" |
| Product markings disappeared | Lettering was unreadable — the module never invents content | Upload a clearer photo with the label visible |
